About this painting:

Opus of Potential started off as a sketch in my journal with the following entry—

My higher self looms large over mine.

I am both frightened, yet curious.

Higher and higher I reach my true self.

May this painting serve as your reminder to pursue your highest self. Still braver, gentler, sweeter, and stronger you will become. Your highest self awaits you everyday.

My color palette was a transparent sap green, cadmium yellow, and a soft flesh tone. The colors melt together, drawing the eye upwards towards the floating figure overhead. The rich green contrasting with soothe soft fleshy pink is striking yet delicate.
